What is a Celebrant?

A Certified Celebrant is a person who has been trained and certified to meet the needs of families during their time of loss.

A Funeral Celebrant serves by providing a funeral service, memorial service or tribute that is personalized and individualized to reflect the personality and lifestyle of the deceased after consultation with the family and loved ones and coordination with the funeral home and family.

Who is Tacye Vogel?

Tacye has worked with families since 1999.

Being a Certified Life Tribute Celebrant, I realize that everybody needs something unique from a funeral service or life celebration. I will bring to light what these desires are, then I will provide a service that is touching, true, straightforward, and soothing.

As a narrator and  storyteller, and I  recount the life story and essence with tenderness, compassion and love.

Knowing the ingredients that a can be healing while we mourn.

To capture the character of who has died, is a vital part of rebuilding our lives with grief, by our side.”

Tacye is a Certified Funeral Celebrant & Ordained Minister

I have spent the last 24 years walking with people right after they have lost someone in their world, to death. Walking by there side, listening and helping them to make decisions that will last a lifetime.

Interviewing the family, friends and coworkers, allows me access to the deceased. Part of what I do is asking questions, listening and an inner knowing I tap into and trust as I write a service Honoring a life lived.  This is my specialty. Taking an entire life lived and creating a custom ceremony, providing a unique space for grieving families.

My technique is creating a space for people to feel comfortable to tell you EVERYTHING about the person who died and their relationship to them.

I capture the essence of people, write and speak about them. Most attending my services think I knew the person we are honoring.

Allowing people to be heard without judgement. Allowing people to share anything they need to or want to. Allowing people to express their darkest and brightest memories, with a total stranger.

A celebration of a life is more than the happy times. Life comprises so much more. There are great, happy, bittersweet, tough, mucky and sad experiences we all have.

No one has a perfect life. Reflecting on the entire life, the good, bad, beautiful and the ugly. This all can be out together to create a remembrance that is authentic.

An authentic ceremony provides a healing space that is different. It is unique to the grief we are feeling for one soul.

It is a celebration for no one else; it is original. Like the person it is about. To capture the essence of a soul that people loved, treasured, lived with, cried with, shared their innermost secrets and shared their love with.

Every, single, person that I have written and officiated has a uniqueness to them, a special aspect to them that attracts their people to them.

“We engaged Tacye to officiate for my father’s virtual memorial service and she helped to create a meaningful and memorable ceremony in difficult circumstances.

She met with and interviewed family members and put together a beautiful ceremony that captured the essence of my father.

Tacye is professional and responsive and worked collaboratively with the other vendors we had engaged to handle different aspects of the event.

Throughout the process I was comfortable that I was in good hands. Tacye is a true gem and I highly recommend her to anyone else looking to celebrate their loved one.

Tacye, that was a lovely, heartfelt tribute. It was so beautifully written and delivered.”

“Just wanted to thank you again for all your help and for the great job you did at the service.

Many of our guests said that it seemed like you new Jack for years.

If you have any links, to any review pages, we’d really like to make sure people know how much we appreciate you.”
